OUT NERD ME
Even small start-up artisans who use sites like Etsy to begin selling their work need striking logos. Out Nerd Me is doing just that. After three years of selling work, it was time for a brand update to make a bigger impact. Becoming known for fan art themed typography portraits, Out Nerd Me is now selling work at con-type events and online. Having a logo means the ability to create professional looking business cards and an iconic signature on artwork.
The goal at hand was to create a clean typographic logo that fit with the type of artwork Out Nerd Me was known for. Using their pattern-like pieces as inspiration, we created a form of lettering that appeared to snap together. This Teris structure meant we could form different layouts with the words and create a geometric look. It is also compact and clear enough to have a stamp or seal made in the future.
This is the perfect example of how important a logo is to have, even if you can't afford an entire rebrand. As an artist, photographer, designer, it is key to have a professional mark to use on your work or packaging. Business social media or ecommerce sites that use a logo instead of random pictures in their profiles or cover pages are taken more seriously.
